Vaco is a Cross Three Ranch raised gelding by Vaca Rey (by Smart Little Lena out of a daughter of Royal Blue Boon), out of our producing mare Misty San Badger (daughter of Little Peppy).

This handy gelding has been trained by Wylie Gustafson.  He has approximately 90 solid days of riding which includes two separate 15 mile cattle drives to summer leases in northern MT.  He has been started in Wylie’s cow horse program which includes a combination of arena work and outdoor ranch work.  Vaco is ready to go on with cutting, cow horse, rodeo sports, trail riding or which ever direction suits you.  He crosses creeks, opens gates, and has been kept in a diverse training program which includes handling a rope, dragging logs, traveling in a stock trailer and lots of outdoor riding with wet saddle blankets!  He is very light in the face and responds to leg cues with a minimum of pressure. He has a wonderful deep and balanced stop.  He is 14.1 hands.  Sorrel with lots of chrome!  He has a beautiful head, soft eye and a will to please.

Little Pete (name pending- yet to be registered) is an own son of the great 6666 Ranch cutting and versatility sire, Paddys Irish Whiskey. He has the credentials and genetics to be a great sire. If you want a true versatility prospect with the best black type in the business, Little Pete is the horse that will make a name for your program. He has impeccable conformation, sturdy foot and bone, deep girth, short coupled, strong withers, and wonderful disposition… all the hallmarks of a Paddy Irish Whiskey.

This bay colt is out of High Brow Prissyote, a royally-bred High Brow Hickory daughter with Doc Bar on her papers both top and bottom. Doc Bar was the horse that single-handedly changed the cutting/cow horse business. If you are looking for an impeccably-bred cow horse stallion to add to your genetics, this breeding will put some real power into your program. You can’t get much closer to the source.

This beautifully conformed filly is an own daughter of the great 6666 Ranch cutting and versatility sire, Paddys Irish Whiskey. Her bottom side (Thorn Sis Sugar- aka Cruise) is one of two highly productive Scott Ranch mares that grace our breeding program.  Cruise continues to provide us with classy cow horses on an annual basis.   Her foals always tend to be the first to sell.  This filly has several older full siblings which have all gone on to be solid cow and ranch horses.   If you are looking for versatility, this bloodline has proven itself time and time again.

Intelligence, cow, foot, bone, size, athleticism and beauty…those are the attributes that define the Cross Three breeding program. Curl is a great example of our efforts to create an individual that can handle the job of a northern Montana working horse and still shine in the performance arena.  Her action is very fluid and graceful.  Curl has a very refined and feminine presence.   She posses exceptionally beauty and is very correctly proportioned.   She has perfect balance, well built hoof and bone, deep girth, substantial withers with the musculature of a true quarter horse.  She will most likely grow to 14.2 hands.

Curl is currently (Oct 2011) halter broke and handles very lightly on the ground. She has had regular hoof trimming, vaccinations and worming.  She is exceptionally intelligent and learns quickly.  You will quickly find that she is a pleasure to be around.

Spike is a shining example of Wylie’s breeding and training program, an own son of the famous 6666 Ranch sire Paddys Irish Whiskey, out of the Cross Three’s number-one mare, My Little Sugar Babe. He is a full brother to Wylie’s famous Whiskey, who has won over $100,000 NCHA.

Spike was Wylie’s main show horse in 2008, and in only half a season of showing, is the champion of the Derby classes in both WCHA and CCC clubs. He is also the 2009 NCHA Area One (WA,ID,OR, AK) 5000 Novice Horse Champion.

He can cut, rope, drag calves to the fire and handle what ever is asked of him. You will not find a more talented and lovable gelding.
