2000 Bay Gelding

Cutter Deluxe / All Around Using Horse. Cows fear him and shiver at the mention of his name. He not only cuts, but also is our top guest horse and green rider chaperone.

This extremely gifted gelding is turning heads in the Northwest area cutting contests and has proven himself by earning the NCHA Certificate of Ability with numerous wins under his belt.

Manny is the Washington Cutting Horse Association 2005 10K Novice Non Pro Champion. He is also the WCHA 2005 Novice Horse Saddle Winner (High Point Novice Horse). In October 2004 he won the Non-Pro Derby Championship at the WCHA Aged Event. He is eligible for the 2006 $10K Novice Horse Class. He is qualified for the 2006 Western National Championships in Ogden.

With close to $5,000 in lifetime NCHA earnings ($4,000 won in 2005), Manny is just getting started in his cutting career. 73’s and 74’s are the typical scores this talented gelding. He is super consistent and judges love to mark his fancy way of moving in the middle of the pen. Wylie has trained and shown Manny for the last two years and has taken special care to build a confident 5 year old who enjoys his job. He is by Travelena Man (Travelena X Quixote Duranzo) out of Playboys Docavon (Freckles Playboy X Docavan).

Don’t need a cutter? Manny would make the perfect deluxe all around using horse, penner, sorter or trail horse. He has the manners of a perfect gentleman and is as comfortable and laid back as they get. As one of our most friendly and personable horses on the ranch, we can put anyone at any level of riding ability on him and know that it will be a good match. No vices and hauls like a champ. A true winner in every sense!

Manny stands at 14 hands and has the feet and bone to go the distance. (And he is famous too… Manny is the subject matter of the song “Manalito El Caballo Bonito”, a song off of Wylie & the Wild West’s ‘Hooves of the Horses’ CD.)
